Statistical consulting and biostatistics support for researchers

Senior statistical and methods support for faculty, postdocs, PhD candidates and research teams — from study design and power analysis to analysis, interpretation and reviewer responses.

What we help with

Study design & power analysis

Sample size and power calculations, design choices and analysis approaches that hold up to grant and ethics review.

Statistical analysis plans

Pre-specified analysis plans for grant applications, protocols, registered reports and theses.

Data analysis

Regression, longitudinal and survival analysis, mixed models, missing-data methods and causal inference using R and Python.

Data cleaning & harmonization

Turning raw exports, surveys and multi-site data into documented, analysis-ready datasets.

Methods & manuscript review

Independent review of methods, results and reporting before submission, and support responding to reviewers.

Reproducible workflows

Version-controlled, documented code so results can be re-run, audited and extended.

Who we work with

Faculty & research groups

Extra statistical depth for grant-funded projects, without a permanent hire.

PhD candidates & postdocs

Methods guidance and analysis support, with the researcher remaining the author of their own work.

Grant teams

Biostatistics sections, power analyzes and data management plans for NIH and other funders.

How an engagement works

Scope

A short conversation to understand your question, data and deadline.

2

Plan

A written analysis or evaluation plan with methods, deliverables and timeline.

3

Deliver

Analysis by senior specialists, with reproducible code and clear documentation.

4

Support

Help interpreting results, responding to reviewers and preparing outputs.

Common questions

Do you work with PhD students and early-career researchers?

Yes. We provide methods guidance, analysis support and review. The researcher remains the author of their own thesis or paper, and we follow the academic integrity rules of their institution.

Which software do you use?

Primarily R and Python, with reproducible, documented code delivered alongside results.

Can you help with the biostatistics section of a grant application?

Yes — including power and sample size calculations, the statistical analysis plan and the data management and sharing plan.

How do you handle sensitive or identifiable data?

We work under your data use agreements and institutional requirements, using de-identified data wherever possible.
